How do I care for my Chalonne band?
As with most leather goods, the level at which you care for your band directly affects its lifespan. We recommend cleaning your band regularly with a slightly damp, soft, lint-free cloth. Ensure you dry the band with a soft cloth and then leave it to dry completely, without exposing it to any sources of heat. Be careful not to use too much water or it will damage the band.
We recommend rotating your bands regularly — not only to extend their lifespan, but to complement your daily outfits and personal style.
In order to keep your band looking its best please:
· Avoid prolonged contact with water, exposure to excessive sunlight and perspiration. Occasional water splashes are fine, but your band should not be submerged.
· Avoid exposing your strap to household cleaning products, beauty products, sharp objects, ink, perfumes and fabrics which may transfer color.
Can I wear my band in water or during exercise?
All Chalonne bands are made from genuine leather and cannot be submerged in water. Any prolonged contact with water, exposure to excessive sunlight and perspiration should be avoided. Occasional water splashes are fine, just wipe with a cloth and allow it to dry naturally.
We do not recommend wearing them during exercise or high-intensity activity. Regular exposure to perspiration and moisture will shorten the lifespan of your band over time. That said, for light activity or occasional wear during exercise, especially if you do not perspire heavily, your band should generally be fine.
