INSPIRATION

Saturday you find me sketching at the Temple of Dendur inside the Met. Rain glides quietly down the atrium windows as I greet an old friend with a warm embrace. A glorious lunch at Café Boulud, discussing the Camp exhibition while savoring every bite of the paupiette of sea bass. I can’t decide between the strawberry charlotte and the chocolate éclair. Outside, bustling crowds hold a prismatic assortment of umbrellas. We see our reflections in steamy shop windows on every block as we run through the rain on Madison Avenue, hand-in-hand. ~Carlye
